We are looking for a data analyst with marine knowledge to join our experienced R&D team in Malmö (Sweden) or Brøndby (Denmark).
ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for a Data Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data related to ship performance, efficiency, and operational parameters.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of naval architecture and marine engineering principles, along with experience in ship performance software and data analysis techniques.
You will be working together with our experienced software development team to develop and implement algorithms for emission forecast and optimization, weather forecast and route optimization, hull and propeller optimization, trim optimization, engine performance optimization and comparing the ship´s actual performance with its ideal performance. For the future we are expecting a greater focus on machine learning and AI solutions.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or similar.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the maritime industry.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of ship performance software and systems.
- Familiarity with maritime regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to ship performance, including speed, fuel consumption, emissions, and combined with other parameters such as weather data.
- Utilize ship performance software and tools to monitor and assess vessel performance.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to optimize vessel operations and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and management, to develop insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and insights effectively.
You will be working at the office in Malmö (Sweden) or Brøndby (Denmark). Travelling to customers and development partners is rare but may occur.
