Description:
Join the BI & Analytics Team as a Data & Application Analyst for NMBS Transport Operations Projects.
In this dynamic role, you’ll combine the expertise of Application Owner, Developer, and Functional Analyst to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize train operations.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
- Needs Analysis: Uncover and document the reporting and dashboard needs of NMBS Transport Operations.
- Functional Specifications: Translate business needs into clear and actionable functional specifications for specific reporting purposes.
- Industry Engagement: Maintain regular contact with diverse departments and their directors to understand their requirements.
- Domain Expertise: Demonstrate a keen interest in maintenance schedules, immobilization plans, transport plans, and HR-related work schedules, with a willingness to visit workshops nationwide.
- Reporting Expertise: Provide valuable input and recommendations on reporting techniques to the business, utilizing mockups, proof-of-concepts, and best practices.
- Quality Assurance: Validate reports and dashboards developed by internal or external developers, ensuring they meet business standards.
- Knowledge Management: Document solutions and keep documentation up-to-date, becoming the go-to resource for colleagues and business stakeholders.
- Roadmap Collaboration: Work closely with users, suppliers, and other stakeholders to develop and manage roadmaps for improvements, bug fixes, and incident resolution.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as the expert for the applications, reports, and dashboards you manage, providing guidance to colleagues and business stakeholders.
- Architectural Alignment: Ensure alignment with existing business and solution architecture, consulting with Enterprise, System, and Solution Architects as needed.
- Testing and Data Cleaning: Contribute to the development of test scenarios, functional testing, and data cleaning activities.
