Overview:
IDC is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to join our Data and Analytics engineering team in the Czech Republic. You will help design and build a data product that will assist technology vendors in effectively assessing their markets, customers, and competitors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, data science, information technology, mathematics, or related fields.
- 1+ years of experience in data engineering or roles related to data engineering (Data Analyst, ETL Developer, Big Data Engineer, Cloud Engineer etc).
- SQL knowledge on an advanced level and experience working with relational databases.
- Demonstrated strong technical knowledge of object-oriented programming in Python.
- Strong English communication skills in both verbal and written form.
- Open to learn new technologies and tools.
- Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, especially with data-processing services (e.g., Lambda, Airflow, Glue, EC2 and others…).
It is not a must, but you will definitely have an advantage if you are already familiar with the AWS ecosystem and have experience with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and Airflow, as those are things you are going to work with within our company.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the data science team and business department to develop data models and cloud pipelines for research, reporting, and machine learning.
- Build and maintain the infrastructure required for optimal ETL frameworks and processes that collect, import, load, clean, integrate, and process data from various internal and external data sources using SQL and AWS technologies.
- Use data and build up-to-date datasets to solve business problems, answer questions, and improve processes.
- Help drive scalable data sharing and integration practices.
- Define metrics, guidelines, and strategies for effective use of algorithms and data.
