Data Analytics - Senior Associate/AVP

Reporting to: Head of Finance

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and implement new and advanced end-to-end solutions in order to support the Head of Finance on Data Analytics requirements.
• Able to leverage on advanced data analytics skills, finance and accounting fundamentals to provide both descriptive insights on business performance and perform predictive modelling for tactical and strategic purposes.
• Build and maintain financial models to support business decision making
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in Generative AI and large language models, assess the suitability of application within the function
• Execute the Data Analytics strategy within the finance function
• Take ownership to build/transform the decision-making process that is data-driven

Requirements

• More than 5 years relevant experience in the financial industry, preferably with knowledge in Futures and Options, OTC derivatives, securities and fixed income products.
• Master or equivalent in Data Science / Computing. Candidates with equivalent academic qualifications in other disciplines but able to showcase keen interest and aptitude in data analytics are welcome to apply.
• Good analytical skills with the ability to link financial numbers with business activities.
• Preferably with finance and accounting knowledge.
• Good understanding of latest technology.
• Good knowledge of programming languages including python, scripting and VBA etc. Understand database design and database structures languages such as SQL.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong team player and good inter-personal skills.
