Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer (CTO), the key purpose of this role is to lead the Transformation and Change agenda for Data Transformation and Regulatory agenda, creating an environment where our people have the skills, knowledge and behaviours to deliver our plan, customer ambition, and industry best practice.
The role influences and delivers against the data transformation strategy, regulatory requirements, a funded portfolio and is responsible for ensuring that the business successfully completes priority change and transformation activity in line with strategic and regulatory ambitions and targets.
What you’ll do

Aligned to the Data and Risk teams, the Transformation Partner is leading the transformation and change roadmap for that area and is accountable for:

  • Providing expertise to drive transformation and a ‘One Aviva’ mindset.
  • Defining and tracking metrics and outcomes through data
  • Implementing consistent ways of working across Data and Risk reporting.
  • Holding Senior Leadership Teams to account to deliver mid to large programs in response to defined business needs and with quantifiable benefits to be achieved.
  • Provide healthy challenge and holding to account to deliver agreed projects on-time and on-budget with CTO support.
  • Driving the prioritization of change initiatives aligned to roadmaps - funded and non-funded.
  • Facilitate securing with the Business sponsors the required funding and its prioritizing as well as effective/efficient.
  • Lead on embedding change disciplines best practices and ways of working within the defined business units
  • Strong understanding of P&C Insurance, Data and the regulatory environment strategy and strategic development roadmap and building a Transformation strategy that supports this.
  • Ensuring accurate and transparent reporting to all stakeholders.
  • Communication/Stakeholder influence at all levels from front line users of deliverables to BU’s senior leadership team
  • Ensuring decisions are data and fact led. Quantifiable wherever possible, including the quantification of benefits.
  • Strong understanding of any regulatory, legal and business risk implications to ensure transformation activity and outcomes support this.
  • Provide input to sponsor(s) to initiate and stop projects, determine program and project structures, determine sequencing and turning points, allocate budgets and resourcing to deliver program and strategy outcomes.
  • Managing and resolving complex inter-connected problems of change, transformation, technology, organization and operations.
  • Proactive forward looking on the future target state and support defining the strategic roadmap.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent
  • Appropriate professional qualification
  • Broad understanding of Financial Services and familiarity with best corporate practices and groundbreaking developments
  • Proven strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
  • Successful delivery in a mid to large business environment
  • Strong Risk and Issue Leadership skills
  • Understanding of the P&C Insurance business areas and marketplace
  • Informed awareness of compliance factors and ability to weigh, positively respond to and resolve issues and risks
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills both internally and externally
  • Evidence of successful collaboration across all levels
  • Change Methodologies e.g., agile, waterfall, systems thinking
  • Ability to navigate through changing priorities and strategic requirements
  • Proven resilience and ability to work with some levels of ambiguity
  • Previous experience of leading complex high value change and transformation programs
  • Project Management Experience
  • Experience in a regulatory and commercial environment
