Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Risk Management, Control Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Wells Fargo is seeking a dynamic and self-starting Reporting and Data Analyst with experience in PowerBI and Alteryx to join our London team. In this crucial role, you’ll be part of our first line Control Management team, addressing the reporting and analysis needs of our Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) and International divisions worldwide.
In this role, you will lead complex initiatives to mitigate current and emerging risks, ensuring the stability of our operations. You will monitor and evaluate the impact of decisions within the Control Management functional area, providing risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing effective risk-mitigation strategies. Additionally, you will develop and implement robust risk monitoring and reporting processes, and work closely with various business groups to address risks associated with their activities.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging risks with broad impact.
  • Act as key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Control Management functional area.
  • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs, and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area.
  • Develop and implement risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls.
  • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies.
  • Lead Control Management project or virtual teams.

Job Expectations:

  • Candidate will be expected to cover US needs from London, so hours will be flexed to allow late start (12-1pm) and late finish (8-9pm) to be largely in sync with US working hours.
  • Candidate will be working in a small, skilled, collaborative team that will cover each other as needed, to fill primarily technical needs, and will be expected to be able to adapt to and deliver fast moving and evolving demands from non-technical senior stakeholders.
  • Candidate will work on automating BAU reporting and analysis processes across the first line (within both Control Management and CIB COO), replacing manual tasks with automatically refreshed, insightful dashboards.
  • Candidate will also work on enhancing existing dashboards according to user needs as they evolve, and the data processing behind as even automated processes can fail and can be simplified and enhanced behind the scenes to prevent future failures.
  • Candidate will be designing and executing many automated QA/QC checks with guidance and help from the rest of team, to ensure that the solutions we deliver at speed, can also be robustly QA’d at speed.
