Description:

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. Founded in 1933 at the call of Albert Einstein, the IRC is one of the world’s largest international humanitarian non-governmental organizations (INGO), at work in more than 50 countries and more than 25 U.S. cities helping people to survive, reclaim control of their future and strengthen their communities. A force for humanity, IRC employees deliver lasting impact by restoring safety, dignity and hope to millions. If you’re a solutions-driven, passionate change-maker, come join us in positively impacting the lives of millions of people world-wide for a better future.
IRC Background: As a part of the Asylum and Legal Protection (ALPS) Unit, the Legal Services Technical Unit provides technical oversight and support to immigration legal services across RAI’s network of 24 offices, in the United States, which collectively serve more than 20,000 immigration clients per year, and offers advice and guidance to local management as they expand and enhance services to meet urgent needs for quality, low-cost immigration legal services.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Collecting consistent and detailed data about service provision allows us to serve our clients effectively and efficiently. The collection of high-quality data also informs program management at the local level and across the network. Additionally, high-quality data helps capture and represent our work to external audiences, including RAI leadership and the IRC at large. Finally, accurate data is crucial in seeking funding and meeting reporting requirements for funders and donors.
IRC seeks a Data and Reporting Specialist to help ensure that high quality data on US Legal Services cases is collected for internal and external tracking purposes. The data and reporting specialist will assist with monthly review of data input into the immigration network’s case management system, pulling data from the case management system for internal reporting as needed, and pulling and preparing reports for funders. The Data and Reporting Specialist will also support communication with local data points of contact regarding data collection.
The Data and Reporting Specialist will collaborate with the Program Officer for Data and Knowledge Management to implement data review and data collection processes, and with local office data points of contact to help coordinate data collection. This is a fully remote position.
