Remuneration: $122,850 - $139,559 per annum, plus superannuation and 17.5% leave loading

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
- Substantial experience working in a research and/or data governance team in a health context.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in applying relevant legislation, codes and guidelines to data and research governance including the NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, relevant privacy acts and guidelines and statutory frameworks.
- Experience in management or coordination of large data linkage projects including management of ethics applications, and/or governance processes.
- Demonstrated experience in developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
Responsibilities:
The Data and Research Governance Officer is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing management of a wide range of policies and procedures relating to data and research governance across the Institute.
In this role you will be required to oversee support and monitor data and research activities throughout the Institute, including delivering staff training, managing governance requirements of linked data projects, liaising with internal and external staff and researchers regarding the appropriate use of data and navigating data and research governance related approval processes. You will have demonstrated experience in the management or coordination of large data linkage projects, including management of ethics applications and/ or governance processes.
Essential to the role will be your ability to influence, collaborate and manage complex projects, with competing priorities.
