Location: Brampton, ON (Hybrid 3 days/week)
Status: Contract/Full-Time

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Strong experience working with SQL and Python
• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, Dataflow, and Airflow in a production environment
• Solid understanding of solution architecture principles, as well as ETL processes, data modeling and database design
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Demonstrates strong critical thinking, and an analytical mindset
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex information to diverse stakeholders

• Design, develop, and maintain data architecture solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to meet business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
• Utilize strong SQL skills to design and optimize database structures and queries
• Create and maintain data models, schemas, and structures optimized for performance and efficiency within GCP services
• Design and implement ETL processes to clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis and consumption
• Optimize data pipelines, queries, and workloads to improve performance, reduce latency, and minimize costs
• Develop and maintain conceptual and logical data models based, and facilitate the implementation of physical relational and dimensional data models
• Conduct reviews of both logical and physical data architecture to ensure alignment and sustainability of enterprise-wide data architecture, governance, compliance, and business requirements
• Offer guidance to business analysts, developers, and DBAs on data modeling standards, techniques, and tools
