DATA ARCHITECT - AWS DATA LAKE, REDSHIFT

On behalf of our client in the Healthcare Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Data Architect - AWS Data Lake, Redshift

DATA ARCHITECT - AWS DATA LAKE, REDSHIFT - JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Expert data modeling for complex operational transactional solutions with more 100+ entities
  • Expert dimensional data modeling for data warehouse or data lake solutions with 20+ dimensions
  • Demonstrated experience designing complex Enterprise, Common or Canonical Data Models
  • Practical experience leveraging Industry Reference Data Models preferably in healthcare, such as HL7 FHIR, RIM, Ontario CIM, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing physical data models with new generation AWS Redshift data warehouse
  • Demonstrated experience with Data Lake concepts on an AWS platform ideally with Informatica (AWS S3, Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift Spectrum, Kinesis, VPC and Informatica Big Data management platform)
  • Extensive data management experience in a data warehouse and data lake environment, designing and implementing data pipelines from ingestion to consumption
  • Proven experience with metadata management and data catalogues
  • Advanced understanding of Enterprise Data architecture concepts, patterns, and standards
  • Experienced in Data Architecture and Data Management approaches and implementation methodologies
  • Demonstrated project delivery experience providing data architecture leadership in large scale data architecture and data migration projects
  • Very good understanding of data warehouse methodologies including design patterns, data mapping, data integration, data testing and application performance tuning

Data Architect - AWS Data Lake, Redshift – Mandatory Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Capital Markets and Risk Management experience
  • Strong quantitative, analytic, and problem-solving skills
  • Financial product knowledge - derivatives, corporate bonds, financial instruments, regulations, and market risk metrics
  • Strong interpersonal skills, as well as excellent written & verbal communication - ability to maintain key relationships with several business partners

Data Architect - AWS Data Lake, Redshift - Nice to Have Skills

  • SAS Analytics experience
  • Subject matter data expertise in healthcare
  • CPHIMSS-CA Certification would be an asset
  • Proven experience with Oracle both OLAP and OLTP
  • Experience with Data Analytics and BI tools such as Qlik
  • Experience with business vision, strategy and roadmaps
  • Familiarity with data management best practices i.e., DAMA-DMBOK. Certification would be an asset
  • Knowledge of TOGAF, Zachman or other architecture frameworks. TOGAF certification would be an asset
  • Certification in one or more of the following technologies preferred: Cloud, Database, Big Data, BI, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence
