Description:
OVERVIEW
The Data Architect, Recycling is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization’s data architecture to ensure data integrity, accessibility and protection. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping our data infrastructure, ensuring its scalability, security, and efficiency. You will be working closely with the Data Governance and Legal team to ensure compliance with current regulations. Additionally, you will work closely with a team of data scientists, data engineers and software developers to develop, integrate, and deploy data initiatives including support for analytics and machine learning models.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post graduate degree and research experience from a technical discipline, preferably engineering or computer science with 8+ years of solid network and connections focused on industry R&D and adoption of AI, data science, and related technologies.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture or data engineering, with significant experience designing and implementing sophisticated data solutions, preferably involving modernizing data architecture, and resolving data integration challenges
- In-depth knowledge of AWS data services such as AWS Redshift, AWS Athena, and AWS S3 and SAP ABAP familiarity a plus
- Demonstrable experience leading a team including Solution Architects and Subject Matter Experts
- A comprehensive understanding of processes and supporting technologies for data warehousing, data transformation, data modeling, data visualization and analytics.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data lineage, data loss prevention, data quality, and metadata management
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical external partners.
- Superb interpersonal skills, able to connect with individuals of a diverse set of backgrounds and technical levels.
Working Conditions:
- This is a remote position with a flexible work schedule and periods of uneven workflow. May require periods of extended working hours to meet deadlines during peak business cycle.
- The successful candidate can adapt to a dynamic environment and has tolerance for change as Circular Materials implements its new program obligations.
- The job demands management of projects across the country, candidate will be required to support these projects by adapting to multiple time zones when necessary.
