As a Data Breach fee earner, the successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping a new department, working under the guidance of an experienced manager. The role involves handling a caseload of data breach claims, requiring a meticulous approach to vetting new claims, rapidly assessing information to pinpoint winnable cases, and prioritising and issuing cases within stringent deadlines.
Key responsibilities include undertaking Court Telephone Hearings, maintaining all case management with precision and timeliness, managing correspondence and telephone calls, reviewing files, supporting junior staff, and providing general advice to the business.
You will ideally have one year experience specifically in Data Breach Law. A genuine interest in this area of law will be considered an asset. A thorough understanding of GDPR and the Data Protection Act is essential, along with the ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines. Excellent technical skills are a prerequisite to ensure the highest standards of service are maintained.
