What We Need
FLEETCOR is currently looking to hire a Data Center Operations Engineer, his position falls under our Corporate line of business. In this role, you will support our data center infrastructure. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems and networks in our data centers, as well as ensuring their security and reliability.
How We Work

As a Data Center Operations Engineer, you will be expected to work in a remote environment. FLEETCOR will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities

Qualifications & Skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in data center operations.
  • Strong knowledge of data center technologies, such as servers, storage, networks, security, and backup systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the physical security and general housekeeping of the data center and network operations center.
  • Installing or de-installing computer equipment, peripherals, cabling and associated components as needed.
  • Monitoring and optimizing the performance, availability, and capacity of our data centers
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as security, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Conducting regular maintenance, inspections, and upgrades of the facility to meet industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure the delivery of quality services and products.
  • Reporting on data center operations metrics, such as uptime, power consumption, and costs.
  • Maintaining data centers and environmental facilities including but not limited to UPS, backup generator power, fire prevention systems, and HVAC.
  • Managing space allocation and layout planning for optimal equipment placement and airflow.
  • Managing office migrations as it pertains to IT operations.
