Tasks

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • A fully verifiable trade qualification in a relevant engineering discipline and verifiable additional training that is relevant to the proposed environment
  • Understanding of LV power distribution and loading. Previous Data Centre (or similar lab) experience - desirable
  • An excellent understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a Data Centre environment, including: Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Fuel Systems, Switchgear, UPS systems, Battery banks, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, Chillers, Air handling units, CRAC units, Fire Alarm systems, and Fire Suppression systems
  • Experience of complex automatic control equipment, including relay logic, programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), building management systems, and their integration with the data Centre infrastructure
  • Experience of medium voltage distribution systems and associated switch gear and protection equipment
  • Computer literate with the ability to compile and submit monthly and annual reports, and to monitor and trend operational characteristics (load, capacity, environmental conditions etc.) Good working ability on Microsoft Office Products
  • Knowledge of how to use a CMMS system
  • SPS / PLC knowledge is an advantage
  • Strong service orientation and ability to work in a team
  • Availability to work shift and to provide emergency cover as required
  • Organized and self-motivated person who can prioritize and work in a critical environment
  • Good proficiency in English, both written and verbally

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair of critical technical assets
  • Compliance with internal and external training programs
  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
  • Modifying the electrical wiring system
  • Tracking of critical process services using a CMMS system
  • Processing and closing of customer’s service orders according to the service level agreements
  • Ensuring the correct and effective functioning of the systems
  • Support and accompaniment of subcontractors in the execution of activities, taking into account customer agreements and CBRE security and risk reduction measures
  • Daily tours and inspections
  • Identification of potential risks for the intended process or occupational safety
  • Management support in all area
