MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:

  • Understands and is able to articulate the value an organisation can gain from their data in line with their business goals.
  • Has advised customers on how to improve their data maturity and is able to identify compelling data opportunities.
  • Has worked with data technology SMEs and sales people team to define and shape go-to-market offerings as well as develop data opportunities.
  • Able to sustain key customer relationships with decision makers including CxO.
  • Familiar with trends in data science and engineering, including techniques, competitors, partners and technology trends.
  • Possesses an entrepreneurial mind set with a track record of helping win new business where personal expertise was a factor
  • Clear written and verbal communications; able to communicate with a wide range of people and to gather requirements.
  • Extensive experience of business analysis in data-intensive technical environments such as Data Platforms and Big Data, involved from analysis through to acceptance, launch and live operations.
  • Broad business and technology understanding of Data & AI landscape and a proven awareness of industry trends.
  • Excellent facilitator of workshops, able to lead stakeholder groups to achieve focused outcomes.
  • Accomplished at modelling as-is and to-be business processes and data management processes, able to present these to stakeholders and the team to ensure understanding and to achieve buy-in.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, comfortable challenging decisions when appropriate and tailoring collaboration and communication styles where necessary
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering as part of an agile team.
  • Responsible for the breakdown of an area of work from inception through to delivery, managing the teams backlog ensuring quality and maturity
  • Responsible for the elicitation of functional, technical and non-functional requirements, translating these into user stories so they are easily understood across the whole team.
  • Proven ability to manage scope to meet the required MVP, ensuring value is delivered
  • Good commercial awareness, always delivering within project constraints
  • Able to work flexibly and to tight deadlines
  • Experience working in a client/supplier relationship, sensitive to their needs
  • Experience contributing to sales activities (e.g. working on bids, writing sales
  • proposals etc.)

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

As a Data Consultant (Manager) in Kainos, you will combine thought leadership, delivery and commercial experience to identify, secure new business as we help customers on their digital transformation journeys which have vital data considerations where value can be unlocked.
You will be responsible for articulating the opportunity and the value it can bring in ways understood by all stakeholders - both business and technical, and for facilitating the analysis and design of data solutions that impact users worldwide.
You will be comfortable directing teams, encouraging engagement and discussion. You will plan and run workshops, engaging with a variety of stakeholders to facilitate consensus in areas of uncertainty.
