Description:

Job Title: Technical Specifications Data Controller Level:
Diageo is embarking on an exciting and significant business transformation through our global packaging technical specification workstream which will re-set our global specification processes. The role of the technical specifications team encompasses the full evaluation, standards setting and governance elements of a global process owner alongside the change management required to deliver this initial programme. The programme aims to change how we collect and manage supplier-sourced technical specifications that are managed within SAP PLM. Packaging product data requires future thinking driven by significant sustainability demands, this requires high validity of the packaging data quality to build trust and reputational benefits both internally and externally for Diageo.

Leadership Responsibilities/ Key Stakeholders:

  • The successful candidate will use their organisational skills to ensure specification data is held accurately in our PLM system.
  • This person will work closely with the Technical Specification Analysts and Technical Specifications Packaging SME’s to update data changes to existing specifications in PLM in line with spec approvals.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy in PLM, tracking changes made to specification and highlighting any challenges or potential impacts to the timeline.

Purpose of Role / Key Accountabilities

  • The key purpose of the role is to support the transformation of product specifications, manage data changes through accurate creation, development and maintenance covering all Global regions.
  • This includes core product data and maintenance of packaging and liquid specifications.
  • The role is critical to ensure all new product specification data is accurate to meet reporting requirements internal and external.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • A keen eye for detail and understands the importance of accurate data.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Strong communication and organisation skills.
  • Take ownership and accountability for product data.
  • Knowledge of SAP ECC & PLM (preferred but not essential)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of PowerBi (preferred but not essential)

Location / Flexible Working Options

  • This role is open to applications from candidates seeking flexible working arrangements.
  • Menstrie Scotland location is preferred.
  • This role can be worked flexibly to suit the business and employee.
