Location: North Greenwich, London Office/Hybrid Working - Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50% of time split between the office and home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.

ABOUT US:

The Data Control Team are small but agile team responsible for system access management. The team manages Joiners, Movers and Leavers process by providing access to staff (Perm, NPL and 3rd Party) as they join, move around or leave the business.
Examples of other services we provide are licence management, disabling, recycling and re-harvesting licences such as O365, Visual Studio Subscriptions, MS Dynamics, access to systems to support Mayoral Schemes such as School Party Travels.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for the assessment of eligibility and granting of secure system access, including access to environments and licensing, based on pre-defined requirements of the role and in collaboration with Data Control Manager.
  • Responsible for the production of, and taking appropriate resulting action, periodic system audits to ensure system access, licensing, system activity is appropriate.
  • Responsible for actively managing data protection compliance, including sending reminders when training needs to be renewed and disabling access for non-compliant users.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate investigation of system access irregularities, identification of root causes and effective resolution actions.
  • Responsible for leading regular checks on master data of allocated systems to confirm that access has been correctly updated when people start, leave or move between roles.
  • Responsible for the production of reports to verify and validate all role permissions, including regular planned audit checks, for all systems to maintain system access compliance with TfL data, security and other policies and regulations, taking appropriate action.
  • Responsible for the production of documentation reporting TfL’s position with regards to system, including data analysis, irregular activity logs, tailored data reports, business communication, regular progress reports and quality assurance.
  • Responsible for stakeholder management of both internal TfL colleagues and third parties in relation to the access and security of TfL systems containing customer and staff personal data.

SKILLS

  • Skilled in preparing and presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including Senior Management.
  • Highly numerate and detail conscious, with highly developed analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Good political, networking and advocacy skills with experience of influencing at a senior level across a range of stakeholders.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience operating as a data analyst to interpret complex information.
  • Recognised track record in supporting the delivery of system access processes, policies and control management.

  • Experience of procurement and effective contract management
  • Experience of public sector funding and business planning processes, including long term and in-year forecasting, accruals, financial risk, setting and managing budgets.

Responsibilities:

  • The Data Control Team Lead provide leadership and management of a small team of 3 Data Control Assistants and 2 Data Control Analysts.
  • You will implement and maintain access and permissions to systems holding personal data based on the role performed by the user.
  • You will analyse, verify and validate the access to all systems for internal and external users, to ensure system access management is compliant at all times with relevant standards, policies and regulations to protect TfL personal data.
  • You will engage with stakeholders at various levels, including third parties, to resolve conflicting situations related to the approval of users’ system access if a non-compliant scenario is identified.
