Concurrent Technologies Corporation is seeking a full-time Data Engineer in the Northern Virginia area to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage cutting-edge technologies to solve complex problems, particularly in the realms of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Educational Background: Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 4-6 years of related experience, or a Master of Science degree with 2-4 years of experience, or a PhD with 0-2 years of experience.
• SQL Proficiency: Experience developing and optimizing complex SQL queries to query, join, or filter diverse data sets.
• Optimization Skills: Familiarity with industry best practices for software-hardware optimization when processing large sets of data.
• Agile Development: Experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools, including Git and Jira.
• Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge with some of the following software/tools: Apache NiFi, AWS Cloud environment, Java, Python, NodeJS, SQL, R, Hadoop, PySpark, Java, Git, Bash, Linux/Unix based OS.
• AI/ML Expertise: Experience in applying machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence techniques in data processing and analytics.

• Data Management: Ability to organize relevant information using data management tools.
• Containerization: Experience with deploying Docker containers.
• Security Solutions: Understanding of X.509 and PKI security solutions.
• API Development: Experience developing and using RESTful APIs.
• Team Collaboration: Motivated to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
• Machine Learning Frameworks: Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Big Data Technologies: Experience with big data technologies like Apache Spark or Apache Kafka.

• Software Tool Development: Create software tools that enable data scientists to transform their tradecraft into agile, accurate, data-driven decisions based on relationships and correlations in vast amounts of data.
• Engineering Support: Collaborate with an engineering team dedicated to designing, developing, and maintaining an analytic environment.
• Data Management: Oversee areas ranging from data ingest, storage, and processing to implementing new tools and developing and maintaining applications resulting from data science innovations.
• Cloud Development: Develop on both AWS unclassified and AWS classified development and production compute environments.
• AI/ML Application: Apply machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to enhance data processing and analytics capabilities.
