Description:

DEINE AUFGABEN

At talentsconnect, we are on a mission to change how companies and candidates meet each other.
We are growing and have big goals. To meet these goals, we need a Data Engineer to help us improve our data game.

You will be part of our Data Team and Applicant Discovery squad, where you will focus on turning the data into outcomes. You will create ad hoc analyses and recommendations for our clients and team and new products that deliver transparency and recommendations.

  • Client and Candidate Tracking: Your focus will be on making sense of our data, which will come in the form of ad-hoc requests from our clients via our Support and Happiness teams, monthly benchmarking and marketing communication, and creating new products and recommendations that optimize our clients’ job offer marketing. You will analyze data from our traffic analytic tools (Google Analytics, Matomo, and Amplitude).
  • Data pipelines: Build, maintain, and orchestrate data pipelines for reporting, recommendation models, and forecasting using Python and Airflow, connecting to DBs, APIs, and object storage services (such as S3 and GCS).

As a Data Engineer, you will work with a small cross-functional team (Data Scientist, Backend and Frontend Developers, Product Manager, Designer, and Lead) to shape our future. Our team structure and outcome-based approach mean the teams have a lot of visibility into how they impact the success of the company and autonomy for strategy. As a vital member of the team, your contributions will be evident.

DEIN PROFIL

While we value your specialized skills and unique background, our data people have a lot in common. We’re looking for a(n):

  • Data person with strong software engineering skills who understands scalability and reliability. You will have demonstrated your ability to build data pipelines and deploy models to production.
  • Empathetic person who is able to adopt the client’s point of view. You will be able to communicate using their language and make the topic and insights understandable for them.
  • High-energy self-starter with a desire to work on a small, cross-functional team; you value collaborating on problems, asking questions, delivering feedback, and supporting the team in its goals.
  • Person who is open to new technologies and is rarely satisfied with the status quo; you will actively assess whether the data systems you work with meet the needs, advocate for change, and implement changes that better align them with the organization’s goals.
  • Knowledgeable in online marketing technologies like Matomo, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console, with the ability to analyze and diagnose potential issues in our data collection would be a big plus.
  • Ability to work in a remote, diverse environment. Exceptional communication skills in English, with German communication skills being a huge plus.
