Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, Masters or equivalent in Software Engineering
Professional experience
2-5 years of experience in Software Development or Management Experience
Have experience in a Data Warehouse environment with varied forms of data infrastructure, including relational databases, Hadoop, and Column Store
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Demonstrated proficiency in programming, showcasing a strong foundation in coding principles.
Basic understanding of Hadoop/Big Data technologies, with a willingness to expand knowledge in this area.
Familiarity with continuous delivery principles, encompassing version control, unit testing, and automated testing methodologies.
Proven track record in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence systems.
Hands-on experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) development, preferably utilizing IBM DataStage for streamlined processes.
Proficiency in SQL, adept at crafting complex and high-performing queries across diverse platforms, including SQL Server.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with clients to ensure the successful completion of software implementation projects, ensuring top-notch service delivery.
Construct fault-tolerant, adaptive, and exact data computational pipelines, optimizing queries operating on vast datasets within a distributed query engine.
Contribute to the foundational design of data architecture, models, and schemas, alongside implementation strategies.
Foster innovation by combining creative problem-solving skills with a profound understanding of the challenges at hand.
Keep the management team and colleagues updated on project statuses, proactively identifying and addressing any issues that arise.
Craft bespoke, dynamic, and visually appealing online reports and dashboards that adhere to UX guidelines, leveraging the latest functionalities in Microsoft Power BI.
