THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for an ETL Developer/Data Engineer based in Cape Town to join an exciting Project and BAU support focussed Data Loader team. You will gain exposure to various data formats and structures, liaise with our first-line support team on incidents and change requests as well as our clients regarding ongoing issues and operate in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.

• Building and configuring data loaders using NiFi following predefined guidelines and standards. This includes customising components using Apache NiFi Expression Language, Apache Calcite SQL, Jolt Transform JSON.
• Supporting data loaders and troubleshooting issues that are raised internally or by clients.
• Configuring changes within existing loaders as per customer requirements following specifications delivered by Business Analysts.
• Analysis of various data inputs to determine whether it meets predefined standards to be loaded to Kurtosys systems.
• Liaising with Clients and Internal Teams on projects and BAU incidents, to resolve issues, within SLA timelines set out.
• Meticulous creation and maintenance of development and process documentation, ensuring clarity and efficiency in our team’s development practices and workflows.
