Our client is looking for a Data Engineer Leader – Supply Chain - for a contract position.

• Start date: March/April
• Duration: 6 months with possibility of REN
• Location : Panama or close to this country (Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina)
• Work model: Hybrid – 1 or 2 days onsite per week or REMOTE (if willing to travel)
• Language: Bilingualism (English and Spanish) is essential, both oral and written.

Responsibilities and Qualifications (high light):

• Design, develop, and deploy data pipelines using Azure services like Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks to ingest, transform, and load (ETL) supply chain data from diverse sources.
• Build and manage scalable data lakes and data warehouses on Azure (e.g., Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics) to facilitate efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of supply chain data.
• Develop and automate insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with at least 1 year focused on retail business.
• In-depth expertise in Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python and SQL (including experience with libraries relevant to data engineering and Azure development).
• Solid understanding of retail business principles and terminology.
