Ocean Infinity is seeking a talented and motivated Data Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure to support our Artificial Intelligence projects.

What will you do:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and storage;
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and design solutions to meet those needs;
  • Implement data management processes and systems to ensure data accuracy and completeness;
  • Perform data quality checks and troubleshoot any issues that arise;
  • Develop and maintain documentation on data infrastructure and processes;
  • Drive technical architecture to accelerate solutions designs. Explore, learn, & recommend new tools & technologies that help the data platform to stay up to date and operate in an efficient way.

Who you are:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field;
  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer;
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL;
  • Experience in using data orchestration workflows using open-source tools such as Apache Airflow, Prefect, Flyte;
  • Experience with SQL databases and key-value stores (e.g., Cosmos DB);
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts, such as data lakes;
  • Experience with setting up SQL/NoSQL database such as Postgres, MongoDB and Redis;
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and data modelling;
  • Experience in working with JIRA and Confluence in an Agile environment;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment;

Desirable:

  • Experience with scalable data versioning tools such as lakefs;
  • Experience with the Azure ecosystem, especially the data related tools;
  • Experience with Kubernetes (ideally AKS);
  • Experienced with CI/CD processes and tools (i.e. Azure Pipelines, ArgoCD);

Salary for this position: Up to €55,000 per annum
Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
