  • 5+ years experience in a Data Engineering role
  • Strong experience with Azure data services
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, SQL, and PowerShell
  • Experience in data modelling
  • Experience with performance optimisation techniques
  • Experience in implementing data validation rules, constraints, and security measures
  • Deep understanding of Transact-SQL (T-SQL) for writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
  • Understanding of data governance, data security, and data privacy principles

Responsibilities:

Step into the future with PwC New Zealand! We’re on the hunt for a dynamic Data Engineer to join our Internal Firm Services (IFS) team. This role is a key player in our Digital team and reports directly to the Director of Digital Transformation.

  • You’ll be at the heart of our digital revolution, designing data ingestion, processing, and storage for cutting-edge software solutions
  • You’ll be the architect of our data infrastructure, developing and maintaining systems that process and analyse vast volumes of data
  • Your role will be pivotal in collaborating with developers, data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders, ensuring data collection, storage, and processing is efficient and accurate
  • You’ll also be instrumental in shaping the future of Data Engineering practices within the firm, ensuring that methodologies and frameworks are adhered to
  • Your focus will be on building reliable and scalable solutions and practices that can be used both internally or with PwC clients. This is your chance to make a significant impact on our firm and our clients
