Data Engineer Visual Studio/C# /JavaScript (Hybrid Houston, TX)
We are looking for a Data Engineer for a global B2B high-tech company. In this role, you will work with Senior Analysts, data scientists, report developers, and cross function teams to analyze and gather requirements for data that can be collect, modelled, and consumed by our customers. Determines methods and procedures to analyze source data, ingest the data, prepares, and improves data quality, and develops consumption models. Researches, designs, develops, configures, integrates, tests, and maintains existing application solutions. Can work in a fast-paced environment and work through and deal with ambiguity.
This is a 6-month (extensions likely), 40-hour-per-week role. This is a hybrid role in Houston, TX.
This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in Visual Studio and C#.
• Experience in JavaScript.
• Experience in SQL and ETL/ELT.
• Experience in Relational Databases.
• Understanding of big data environments (Hadoop, Kafka, Hive, spark)
• Experience in Data warehousing and Data Modeling.
• Experience in Python, Qlik and Power BI.

  Compensation: $60/hr. - $62.87/hr

• Conceptualizes, builds, develops, and enhances a client’s analytic model. Determines the right modeling methodology for the use case, available structured and unstructured data, cost and timing constraints to solve the large and complex business issues and delivers compelling and clear business focused insights.
• Design and engineer application solutions.
• Can work with multiple databases and big data solutions.
• Standardize ELT, BI, governance, and analytics.
• Technically lead, Design, and develop distributed, high-throughput, low-latency, highly available solutions.
• Understand business requirement to build reliable application solutions.
• Work with the data engineering team to develop & maintain data pipelines for batch & stream processing.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements and tools to automate data processing and ensure data integrity while meeting data security standards
• Build tools for better discovery and consumption of data for various consumption models in the organization DataMarts, Warehouses, APIs, Adhoc Data explorations
• create data views from big data store to feed into analysis engines, visualization engines etc.
• Work with data scientist and business analytics team to assist in data ingestion and data-related technical issues.
