REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven track record as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
• Experience with MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL or other relational databases
• Working knowledge of agile lifecycle management tools such as JIRA
• Problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
• Acquaintance with agile lifecycle management tools such as JIRA;

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are on the lookout for a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Big Data to join our dynamic team. As a key player, you’ll be responsible for crafting, testing, and maintaining robust data flows and ingestion processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Proactively work with engineering teams to ensure that data and access standards are being followed
• Fine tune operating system and database for performance and scalability
• Support apps teams with SQL tuning, indexing, partitioning approach to achieve read/write efficiency
• Design, develop and implement database systems based on customer requirements
• Administer and troubleshoot MySQL databases and including security patching, SQL tuning, capacity planning
• Develop best practices for database design and development activities
