About the role:
As a senior member of the Data Platforms team, you will lead a cross-functional agile delivery squad for data engineering projects at Bunnings. You will offer guidance, coaching and growth to a team of data engineers and analytics engineers to foster innovation and enhancement.
You will oversee the creation, documentation, access, and ongoing maintenance of key data assets, data products and analytic outputs within the Bunnings Enterprise Data Platform for use across the business.

What’s involved:

• Working together with our data architects, analytics delivery teams, data scientists, data engineers and business intelligence developers to create and implement data solutions for high profile analytics use-cases.
• Participating in the data architecture and helping to improve the data design standards, guidelines, frameworks, and practices
• Gathering the requirements from stakeholders and allocating work to team members based on their skills and capacity. Overseeing the workload, wellbeing, and performance of your team members

What we’re looking for:
You will have excellent relationship and stakeholder engagement skills and can communicate effectively with anyone in the organisation, establishing trust and understanding stakeholder requirements.
In addition to your experience in engineering solutions across software, data and platform, you are also enthusiastic about leading and growing your team.

You’ll have:

• Proven skills in data analysis and preparation, including working with very large data sets and semi-structured data
• Strong skills in SQL and using database platforms such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Redshift or Big Query
• Experience with delivering data products using agile methods
• Experience in leading data engineering teams
