Description:
The perfect candidate for this position will have an eagle eye for even the tiniest inconsistencies and errors, and be able to create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes. If you possess super-fast and accurate data entry skills, and want to join a successful team at an exciting company as a Data Entry Clerk via Robert Half, you might be right for this position! This position will be responsible for a range of accounting and finance support functions, with an emphasis on effective record keeping. The clerk’s duties will be entering high volumes of data into Microsoft Excel and ERP systems and databases with utmost precision and speed and must possess a high level of organization, reliability and attention to detail. This Data Entry Clerk role is a long-term contract / temporary opportunity and is based in Secaucus, New Jersey.
How you will make an impact
- Working with highly confidential materials
- Following techniques and procedures for data program and meeting data entry requirements
- Processing customer and account source documents by reviewing information and identifying issues
- Assisting with special projects as required
- Continuing operations in accordance with policies and procedures; communicating needed changes
- Providing support for data entry and additional administrative tasks
- Gathering, sorting, and prioritizing data for computer entry
- Less than one year of experience
- Basic knowledge in computer software programs and office equipment
- Candidate must meet a data entry speed of 8,000 keystrokes per hour with 100% accuracy
- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
- SAP experience
- Proficiency in retail
- Accounting Entries experience preferred
- Data entry experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
- Strong organization skills
- High school diploma or comparable degree
- Capable of working independently with minimal oversight
