Description:
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
You will bring top-tier data governance practices along with a genuine desire to provide first-class service and solve data quality problems, thereby enabling effective and efficient business operations of the Bank.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the information management or risk management fields, preferably in data/data risk management and governance areas.
- Experience in developing and supporting the implementation of policies, governance frameworks, procedures, standards, guides, and other related documentation.
- Knowledge organisation skills, including the ability to apply formal classification techniques for control development and business term disambiguation.
- Ability to guide the development of/manage tools to meet Data Governance Office requirements, such as data catalogues, data lineage tools, metadata integration, and data quality tools, and ensure integration with other governance tools (e.g., Governance, Regulatory and Compliance, Process Management, Enterprise Architecture).
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with the Critical Data Elements (CDE) concepts.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a Data Governance Analyst/Specialist to work with one of our leading banking clients. In this role, you will play a crucial part in establishing and maintaining data governance frameworks and practices that ensure the quality, consistency, and security of our data across the organization. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategy Implementation: Contribute to and execute the Data and Analytics Strategy and the Data Governance Office Roadmap.
- Policy and Framework Development: Assist the Data Governance and Quality Manager in creating policies, frameworks, procedures, standards, guides, and artefacts.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with stakeholders across the business to identify and register Critical Data Elements (CDEs), map business lineage, and ensure they are governed.
- Ad-Hoc and Project-Based Requests: Address requests related to data governance and data quality, such as project impact assessments on CDEs and resolving data quality issues.
- Metrics and Reporting: Define and prepare Data Governance metrics, reports, and assessments for formal governance decision-making forums, such as the Cyber Security and Data Governance Committee.
- Training and Development: Create and deliver training materials for Data Owners, Data Stewards, and other stakeholders.
