ABOUT THE POSITION
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Data Governance Specialist to join their Data Services team. In this key role, you’ll be the bridge between business and technology, leading initiatives that advance our data strategy and ensure successful data governance implementation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Collaborate with business partners and technical experts to translate data needs into actionable plans.
Champion data governance best practices, fostering a culture of data quality and integrity.
Manage data activities and spearhead requirement gathering for data governance programs.
Develop structured project plans, ensuring efficient execution and delivery.
Define performance metrics and monitor compliance with data policies and standards.
Identify opportunities to leverage data assets for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Build strong relationships across the organisation to drive collaboration and communication.
Partner with a diverse team of analysts, IT specialists, and architects to bring our data vision to life.
We’re looking for someone with:
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong data analysis proficiency using tools like SQL and Excel.
A results-oriented approach with a “can-do” attitude and adaptability.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at gaining buy-in from stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Effective time management skills with the flexibility to navigate changing priorities.
A degree in a related field (e.g. Information Systems) is preferred.
This role will suit someone coming from a senior BA type background with strong Data Governance experience.
