Deutsche Bank Research is responsible for economic analysis within Deutsche Bank Group and covers asset allocation and all major industry sectors. They analyse relevant trends for the bank in financial markets, the economy and society, highlight risks and opportunities and act as consultant for the bank, its clients, and stakeholders.
You will be working as a software engineer in the Data Innovation Group (DIG) within the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) Technology division. The DIG team works very closely with the Primary Research group that sits within Research to support their generation of ideas for internal and external clients of the bank. The development team is actively involved in both the research and development and then the ‘productionisation’ of products from the Primary Research group.
DIG software runs on Fabric (a Kubernetes platform) and is built using Python, Java and uses open-source components such as PySpark. User interface development uses React / Redux, and Streamlit
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience developing software within financial services in Java and/or Python
- Be comfortable with a test-driven development approach (Behavioural Driven Development experience is a bonus)
- Containerised software development experience (Kubernetes / OpenShift)
- Python data science stack and Pyspark experience a plus
- Experience and comfort facing off to business customers to gather requirements and discuss solutions
