Description:

CONTEXT

As a leading telecommunications and entertainment company with more than 8 million customer interactions, around 300 internal and external stores in Belgium and more than 1500 employees working in a customer-oriented function, Our client has a very diverse data availability across the entire Operations’ organization (e.g. customer, product, interaction data).
Within the Customer Operations Steering Tribe (part of the larger Customer Operations Circle), we are looking for an ambitious data analyst to become a part of our Customer Operations Office Team, where we will use data to support, challenge and inspire our clients & back-office customer operations colleagues with clear recommendations, actionable insights, and efficient self-service dashboards.
The focus of this expert is to support the different Tribes with deep dives on the most important topics for our Circle

PROFILE

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Business Engineering, Applied Economics, Computer Sciences, Information Management…) or equivalent by experience
  • Looking for (non-starting) professionals and more experienced data experts with experience in Telecom, Entertainment, Consulting or similar industries is a plus
  • Experience with at least 1 reporting tool and the use of QlikSense is a plus.
  • Strong acumen in quantitative analytics and structured problem solving
  • Results driven: able to coordinate an analytics initiative end to end from ideation through production and adoption and have an understanding of the life cycle of an analytics initiative and the common pitfalls.
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills and ability to influence decision makers
  • Fluent in English and in Dutch

Responsibilities:

Key overall responsibility is to provide our Customer Operations Leadership with a sense of calm, clarity and predictability by actively seeking to understand the plans and ambitions of internal and external stakeholders that significantly impact our operations. Our second mission is to promote transparency and understanding of the Customer Operations throughout the organization by providing clear and accessible information that enables leadership stakeholders to comprehend the bigger pictures.

To complete this amazing team of 8 people, We are looking for a “Insights Specialist” to take the lead in insights deepdives and cases around key operations topics:

  • Understand the business question and be able to translate in a key set of questions or hypotheses
  • Write queries to gather the necessary data and manipulate the data accordingly
  • Analyze the data by using relevant data techniques
  • Create a consistent and comprehensive storyline that summaries your key findings in a crisp and compelling manner
  • Present your key insights to all relevant stakeholders within the Operations Circle varying from team managers, Tribe Leads and our Operations Vice Present (and outside our own Circle)
  • Support our other team members where needed
