Description:

As a Data Management Specialist, you will support and execute on data management activities for the Tribe, COE, or program of work. Through your analysis on data management standards, you enable our customers to stay “a step ahead in life and business “and help the bank meet regulatory minimum standards for data.
Interfacing closely with the Business Domain, Business Data Owners, Business Data Stewards, Architects, System Owners, Risk teams, Delivery Squads, Data Governance and Data Management team, you support via your analysis to fulfil data governance requirements, evaluate data integrity and data quality, and be an active advocate for strong data management.
The role is a key pillar within the tech function, enabling the execution of the Bank’s data governance framework, to ensure sustainable data management practices leading to well defined, consistent, and high-quality data that aligns to our purpose of helping our customers and our employees get ahead in life and in business.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the providing guidance and support to ensure data controls are defined, captured, and incorporated.
  • Act as the SME to provide guidance and recommendations on data retention, deletion, anonymization on the new technology modernisation program and on data migration activities.
  • Ensure all local and global regulatory guide and standards are adhered.
  • Attend relevant governance forums to ensure data quality and integrity controls are built as per requirements.
  • Recommend data quality and integrity controls (proactive, reactive, and corrective) across the life cycle of data.
  • Facilitate business sign-off for data management activities as per design principles and standards.
