To live true to our vision we are looking for a new Data Platform Engineer/Owner to strengthen our Nordic Business Technology team.
Business Technology unit’s goal is to design, develop and operate sustainable IT landscape for all different business domains across our value chain. Sustainable IT means doing IT in a way that considers people, ways of working and technologies, thus helping the company to transition.
Our Data Platform’s purpose is to empower business domains to innovate with data by lowering bar and lead-time to implement high-quality data solutions built on standard and reusable platform capabilities. The Data Platform team is responsible for designing, building, and operating the data infrastructure to improve data engineers’ experience and productivity by providing reusable tools and accelerators that developers can access from a central location.

In a newly created role of Data Platform Engineer/ Owner you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and operating a new modern, cloud-native data platform. Your role is to ensure that the technical solutions related to the Data Platform are efficient, align with the business goals and meet the needs of our internal users. There is also the opportunity to take technical product ownership of the platform or grow into that role over time. You will work with experienced colleagues – a great opportunity to share your thoughts, learn, grow and evolve in this role.

What are your key responsibilities?

• Building a strong understanding of the St1 data platform and related technologies.
• Doing concrete data platform development and operational tasks from the product backlog.
• Helping other teams and stakeholders to utilize the data platform
• Refining, and prioritizing the data platform team’s backlog together with Scrum Master.
• Collaborating with the Infrastructure team to ensure a safe and cost-effective environment.
• Over time acting as a technical PO for our new data platform: creating, maintaining, and communicating platform vision and roadmap, based on requirements and needs from different stakeholders.
