EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCES
- Understands ideas and has a viewpoint on the markets and economy
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders outside of the immediate department ‘to get the job done’ .
- Previous work essential in the financial markets preferable, but not essential
- Solid experience as a Data Quality Analyst
- Experience in the Financial Services sector working on data quality analysis
- Ability to work under pressure with strong planning and prioritisation to meet tight deadlines whilst remaining detail orientated with strong problem solving skills and innovative thinking
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple deliverables concurrently often within aggressive timeframes; ability to cope under time pressure
- Strong data analysis skills across multiple source systems of various formats
- Strong communication skills and able to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal form.
- Proven experience in critical thinking with the ability to analyze a situation and make a decision based on the information at hand.
- Experience within IDB or Market Data would be high regarded but not critical, and 1-2 years of data analytics would be helpful and an undergraduate degree in relevant discipline desirable (Business, Finance, Economics etc.) would help to grasp some of the concepts within the business and relevant to the role

Responsibilities:
- Monitoring an up to the minute data validation system to detect data errors and delays.
- Liaising with broking desks and TP ICAP pricing desks to cross check/validate potentially erroneous and/or delayed data.
- Liaising with TP ICAP technical teams to ensure system functionality
- Maintaining a database of published data with in excess of 100,000 records
- Maintaining a database of quality controls tests that drive the QA function
- Data analysis / fault diagnostics
- Client support where necessary
- Data cleansing
- Execution of DQ responsibilities within Business Process Management system. (Metastorm)
