NYL Investors LLC, an integrated asset management enterprise with over $300 billion in assets under management, is currently seeking an Investment Operations Analyst to join a team tasked with data integrity and support. The position necessitates expertise in data management, adeptness with technology tools for scrutinizing extensive datasets across diverse source systems and environments, and proficiency in reporting applications. The individual must possess fundamental knowledge of fixed income data, along with experience in addressing end user inquiries, engaging in testing system enhancements, and contributing to ongoing business improvement. Effective collaboration with business, operations, and technology stakeholders is crucial for success in this role, as well as a genuine interest in building a career in investment operations and reporting analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Business Administration, Finance or Management Information Systems
- 5-7 years financial services experience at an insurance company or investment management firm preferred
- Knowledge of fixed income, equity, and derivatives required; familiarity with investment reporting and performance a plus
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Strong Analytical skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting required
- Organized and disciplined; self-starter with ability to take ownership of responsibilities and execute to a high standard
- Exceptional attention to detail with commitment to improving accuracy of data and preventing errors
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Experience with Excel, SQL, Crystal Objects and BI tools
- Knowledge of Investment Data Warehouse is required; experience with Eagle’s Investment Datawarehouse is preferred
- Experience with Data Science or AI capabilities is a plus

Responsibilities:
- Monitor production controls for Investment Data Warehouse and resolve exceptions. This includes monitoring exception dashboard, automated reconciliations, and exception reporting for all data feeds.
- Review issues with management, vendors, business areas, and technology staff; assist in determining root cause for data quality errors, and make recommendations for long term strategic solutions as well as tactical remediation
- Recommend and develop new controls to improve data quality and minimize operational risk
- Contribute to strategic and business growth initiatives within Investment Services, including the maintenance of the warehouse, as well as integration with different application
- Collaborate with technology and business partners to assess and resolve issues, giving way for improvements or establishment of new workflows
- Document and effectively communicate business technical specifications; undergo review(s) with stakeholder(s), and obtain approval for development
- Assist with various reporting data analytics initiatives, including development of Investment reports within specified deadlines
- Participate in the execution and oversight of ad hoc data projects
- Take an ownership role in managing data capabilities and uphold a sound data governance and development framework
