Description:

Data Scientist, Decision Resources LLC d/b/a Clarivate Analytics (US) LLC, Ann Arbor, MI
Duties: Research and explore different machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP) algorithms and techniques to solve specific problems and improve user experience. Collect and analyze data from various sources to develop models, algorithms, and statistical analyses. Design and execute experiments to validate and compare the effectiveness of different ML and NLP models. Develop and deploy ML and NLP models and algorithms into production environments. Collaborate with cross- functional teams to understand business needs and requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Monitor the performance of ML and NLP models in production environments and troubleshoot and optimize as needed. Continuously learn and stay up to date on the latest developments and trends in ML, NLP, and related technologies to bring new insights and approaches to the organization. 100% telecommuting permitted within the US.
Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Information Sciences, Statistics, or related quantitative field plus any amount of experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Material Management Analyst, or related role. Requires any amount of experience gained from any combination of work experience, internship experience, or education at a bachelor’s level or higher with the following: Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and statistical methodologies; Programming skills in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, R, or SAS; Testing and validating science initiatives from data extraction, implementation, and validation; and Using various machine learning modeling techniques on real world data such as clustering, classification, regression, tree-based methods, neural networks, anomaly detection, or on real world data.
