JOB DESCRIPTION:
Parsons is now hiring an experienced Data Scientist / Data Analyst. This candidate will work as part of an experienced team providing support analyzing large amounts of data and developing analysis tools and models for our customer. Specifically, the candidate will be needed to develop, train, and validate various Machine Learning models applied to our process, along with helping to provide data analysis products and reports for our customer. The analyst at this level will work in a team environment, but should be able to work independently and serve as technical lead of tasks when called upon.
WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU’LL BRING:
- Advanced degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering – Master’s with 2+ years of experience or Ph.D.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning techniques and algorithms
- Experience in data mining
- Very strong in Mathematics and Statistics
- Ability to develop mathematical algorithms and applications in response to complex requirements.
- Experience with computer programming
- Strong analytical mind and good problem-solving skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
