Job Description:

SUMMARY

Responsible for analyzing large data sets for ICE Data and Analytics division to find opportunities for product development and process optimization. Works with loan-level data, to normalize, aggregate, and produce data products. Responsibilities include working with data contributors to enhance their submissions by exposing and alleviating data issues to ensure data quality; expanding field coverage and being the go-to source for data questions that arise. Will also be working with customers to develop data use cases, research and new products from the loan-level data that will support our clients in making important business decisions based on this analysis and findings.
NOTE: Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. citizen, U.S. national or protected individual (as defined under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3)) status.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
  • Requires up to 3+ years of data science or related experience in developing mathematical formulas, financial models, and computer programs experience
  • Experience using statistical computer languages (Python, SQL, R, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree or PHD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field
  • Understanding of financial data (loan, mortgage, credit card data, etc.)
  • Experience working with and creating data architectures
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
  • Experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models
  • Experience creating and using advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and/or Machine Learning (ML) algorithms and statistics
  • Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Spark, PySpark, AWS, etc.
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using Tableau, Power BI or similar tools
  • Advanced skills in Excel and other MS Office applications

Responsibilities:

  • Works with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
  • Works closely with Research and Development on the application and product development of financial tools. Provides consulting and analysis to clients using these tools.
  • Demonstrates analysis and findings to customers and clients to develop use cases.
  • Assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
  • Develops custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets
  • Coordinates with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes
  • Develops processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
