Description:

Kirmac is a family owned and operated leader in the collision repair industry. Founded in 1973, Kirmac Collision & Autoglass’ team members provide excellent customer service and quality repairs and turn the unfortunate situation of having an accident into a positive, lasting impression for our customers while supporting B.C Children’s hospital through Kirmac Cares for Kids. Kirmac currently operates 18 locations across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
This role is best suited for an individual passionate about data and using it to provide real value to the organization and its stakeholders. The role of the Data Scientist is dynamic, evolving, and critical to the development of innovative, data-driven solutions.

2. EXPERIENCE:

  • Typically, 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning.

3. SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of PowerBI and Azure.

Qualifications:1. Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Additional certifications in data science or machine learning are an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Interpretation:
  • Gather data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and external datasets.
  • Clean, preprocess, and transform raw data into usable formats.
  • Develop an understanding of how the organization operates based on data insights.
  • Statistical Analysis and Modeling:
  • Apply statistical techniques to identify patterns, correlations, and trends within the data.
  • Create predictive models using machine learning algorithms.
  • Evaluate model performance and fine-tune parameters.
  • Business Insights and Communication:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their goals and challenges.
  • Translate complex data findings into actionable insights.
  • Present results through clear visualizations, reports, and presentations.
  • Maintain documentation for data management and analysis
  • Automation and Process Improvement:
  • Use AI tools and programming languages to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Develop smart solutions to address specific business challenges.
  • Monitor data accuracy and performance.
