FOSS Analytical A/S is looking for a talented and highly skilled data scientist with a strong background in machine learning and deep learning methods to drive the development our future imaging and spectroscopic solutions for food analysis.
This is an exciting opportunity, as you will have significant influence on FOSS’ future innovation opportunities. In a global world with a growing population, there is an ever-increasing demand for safer food and less food waste. Our solutions provide accurate measurements and analytics insights to optimize food production from raw materials to finished products, and ultimately a better global usage of limited resources.
Responsibilities:
Your main responsibility will be to develop and evaluate new machine learning algorithms for our analytical instruments based on imaging and spectroscopy. You will work in a dedicated project team and be responsible for all steps of the data analysis. You will work in close collaboration with our software algorithm team, hardware team and marketing organization in taking the data analysis chain from concept to deployment and sales release.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Define the data needs for training machine learning models capable of fulfilling performance targets.
- Develop the algorithms and data pipelines.
- Design experiments to test the data analysis chain.
- Assist in understanding and translating customer requirements to performance targets.
- Contribute to improving the way we work with data and algorithms.
Your daily work will be at the FOSS Innovation Center in Hillerød, Denmark.
