JOB DESCRIPTION:

Metas Solutions has an “immediate” opening for an experienced Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer to work Remotely. The Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer will have strong analytical skills and experience in using Posit and RStudio to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in statistical analysis, machine learning, and leveraging Azure technologies in big data to drive significant business impact.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proficient in R, with significant experience using Posit (formerly RStudio) for data analysis and model development.
  • Strong experience with SQL and familiarity with Python or other programming languages.
  • Demonstrable experience in using statistical and machine learning techniques for analyzing and solving complex problems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to handle customer success and support activities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to stakeholders from various departments.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with big data technologies such as Databricks, Spark, SparkR.
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques, such as simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI technologies like OpenAI and LLMs.
  • Experience with cloud services like Azure or AWS.
  • Knowledge of SAS/SAS Viya.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing Posit and RStudio for data exploration, visualization, and model development.
  • Onboarding customers and assisting on Posit and RStudio.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven insights and solutions.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of data analysis projects from data collection and cleaning to analysis and presentation of results.
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets, using both standard statistical tools and innovative data analysis techniques.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for non-technical stakeholders to communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
