This unique role sits at the intersection of cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence (AI), protein dynamics, and molecular simulation offering an outstanding opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in academic drug discovery and AI method development.
The research focus is dedicated to integrating emerging AI techniques with traditional informatics and biophysical methods for CADD and biomolecular modeling. Our research program is highly interdisciplinary, blending computational tools with experimental collaborations to tackle fundamental biological challenges, particularly in the realms of substance abuse and precision medicine.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Computational Chemistry, or related field
  • Strong interest in and commitment to research areas including:
  • Developing predictive models for modeling dynamic biomolecular systems.
  • Benchmarking and deploying machine learning models for predicting biomolecular motions.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in Python required.
  • Proficiency in deep learning with PyTorch (preferred) or TensorFlow.
  • Proficiency with at least one non-AI biomolecular modeling tool (molecular dynamics simulations, Rosetta, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with version control (e.g., Git), and collaborative platforms (e.g., GitHub).

Responsibilities:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out independent research in collaboration with center members to develop and or implement machine learning strategies in the protein science field
  • Train new lab personnel and collaborators on machine learning approaches
