Shipt, Inc. seeks a full-time Data Scientist. Shape and grow marketing intelligence for Shipt. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Optimization (Operations Research), Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, (Applied) Mathematics, Economics, or related quantitative or engineering degree with a focus in Analytics (foreign equivalent accepted), plus at least 2 years of work experience in the proffered position or similar position (e.g., Marketing Engineer, Analyst Engineer, Business Analyst). Work experience must also include at least 2 years of experience with the following: (1) ability to develop appropriate KPIs for monitoring and measurement of optimization efforts; (2) experience with at least one quantitative research methodologies such as A/B testing, machine learning, or customer journey; (3) ability to distill research findings into data-backed presentations, data visualizations, and infographics to drive marketing strategy; (4) querying data utilizing SQL and analysis of data utilizing Python or R; and (5) a visualization tool (e.g., Tableau). This position is fully remote and may telecommute from any location in the U.S. Company HQ is located in Birmingham, AL. Limited travel to company’s offices for work reasons may be needed. Various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. may be possible in the future.
