Description:
At Volue we are realizing the Green Transition. Our mission is to provide innovative services critical to society, unlocking a cleaner, better, and more profitable future. Working towards this goal, Volue has become a leading technology supplier and enabler, helping energy companies simplify and optimize everyday operations.
We are looking for a Data Scientist to help us improve our ability to provide value to our customers in line with the Volue mission.
In Volue Insight we enable our customers to make data driven decisions – spanning from creating pricing models for their energy products, when to buy energy, to investment in renewable power plants or power-consuming industry.
The Fundamental team in Volue Insight builds and maintains models and data for weather driven price drivers. Weather impacts the electricity market greatly, both in terms of supply and demand. Renewable power production, like wind and solar, has seen a great increase and will continue to do so in most markets. Hydro power is a major source of power in parts of Europe and Japan. We provide forecasts for these factors, both for the very near term up to decades ahead.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain forecasting and prediction models.
- Build and maintain flexible and scalable end-to-end data pipelines, in collaboration with data engineers.
- Together with product management, incorporate the results of our models into convincing products for our customers.
- Contribute to our continuous push towards highly scalable and automated forecasting models where performance is monitored, quality is continuously evaluated, and experimentation is easy.
