Description:
The Healthcare Data Scientist will be responsible for translating and summarizing our business activities for our internal and external stakeholders using statistical, data science, and analytical methods. They will be asked to provide insights that can improve healthcare outcomes, optimize operational efficiencies, and advance medical research.
You will be joining a talented, fully remote Data Science, Engineering and Analytics team that handles a wide range of requests, including but not limited to biostatistical research, population segmentation & targeting, recommendation engines, and NLP projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or equivalent education or work experience
- Strong abilities with SQL & Python (or R)
- 4-5+ Years relevant experience (Data Scientist, Data Engineer and Data Analyst/Dev)
- 3+ Experience with Healthcare Data (Claims, CDAs/HRAs, Eligibility)
- 3+ Experience in statistics, NLP, AI, and Machine Learning applications
- 3+ Experience with AWS or similar (S3, Redshift, RDS, EMR)
- 3+ Experience with Git and version control
Really Nice to Haves
- Healthcare, research, and consulting experience preferred
- Experience working with Data Packages written in R or Python
- Experience partnering with Data Engineers, Analysts to optimize or productionalize models
- Practical experience performing advanced statistical analysis
- Experience presenting findings to internal and external partners
Responsibilities:
- Support analytics efforts designed around the organization’s strategic priorities and clinical/business problems.
- Work with the analytics team and clinical/business stakeholders to develop pilots so that they may be tested and validated in pilot settings.
- Support the development of strategic, tactical, and operational presentations that summarize the results of statistical analytics projects in support of robust strategies for the organization.
- Develop and apply advanced statistical and predictive modeling techniques to analyze large datasets.
- Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in complex health data to inform business strategies and decisions.
- Extract, clean, and transform healthcare data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Presenting research findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders, including VP-level executives.
