JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a seasoned Data Services Architect to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing our data collection and analysis platform. This platform manages terabytes of data, derives metadata from raw data, ensures compliance with strict data retention rules, and enables enrichments, insights, and alerts from the data.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 10 years in software development.
• Deep understanding of modern software architectures, cloud environments, and distributed systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor software developers of all levels.
• Highly analytical mindset, able to see the big picture and the details.
• Expert understanding of databases and big data infrastructures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related field, or comparable work experience.
• Strong programming skills in a variety of languages.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role.
• Proficiency in big data languages and development frameworks.
• Experience with search technology such as Solr.

• Architect, design, and oversee the development of software solutions.
• Work closely with development teams to integrate security measures without compromising functionality.
• Develop and maintain service architecture models, policies, and standards.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team.
• Monitor system performance and resolve any issues or failures in staging or production environments.
• Design, construct, install, test and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
• Implement measures to ensure data security and compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technology solutions.
• Collaborate with other product architects to ensure a unified vision and awareness for all aspects of the product.
• Work with external vendors as needed.
• Keep updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and changing business landscape to ensure our platform remains competitive.
