What does the role involve?
Reporting to the Head of Data Insight and Automation your focus will be on data quality and governance. You’ll work closely with the business data owners and analysts to help them take ownership of their data and manage identification and resolution of data quality issues, communicating the root cause and impact of issues to affected users to those in a position to influence decisions.
This is a hybrid position where you will be required to work from our Staines office a minimum of 3 days a week.

Some of your key duties will include:

  • Managing the business glossary by working with users to identify business terms and definitions, seeking opportunities to standardise and ensuring compliance to standards
  • To build and manage a data quality rule set within our data quality software Collibra
  • Supporting the group wide initiatives on data governance by promoting a data culture within the business and championing a operating model for addressing data quality
  • Working closely with the rest of the Data Insights & Automation team and the wider business to resolve any potential data-related issues
  • Oversee the data life cycle, ensuring appropriate systems and processes are in place to effectively manage the creation, curation, security, and retention of data assets. Ensure use of data is compliant with all relevant legislation

What are we looking for?
You’ll have an excellent eye for detail and a natural problem solver. You like to approach challenges with a logical mindset and enjoy working in collaboration with multiple teams. You’re keen to engage with your team to bring forward creative solutions with a vision to push the boundaries of what we can achieve. You are comfortable working independently using your own initiative to complete tasks.

Also, we’re looking for the following:

  • Experience working with SQL and Data Governance, Data Quality and Master Data Management tools (Collibra)
  • Knowledge of database management and data governance frameworks, such as DAMA; DMBoK2
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations in relation to data, information and financial services, such as Data Protection; GDPR; ISO27001; CCA
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
