Data Technical Business Analyst
Business Bank (BB) offers a wide range of financial services, products and solutions to our small to medium customers, our corporate / major client group customers and our regional and agribusiness customers.
The Analytics, Data & Decision Science (ADDS) team aspires to be the best analytics team in CBA at engaging customers by solving complex customer, product & channel problems through multi-channel strategies to deliver value for Business Bank. The BB Data Office, is a critical team within the ADDS, and leads implementation of data management practices across the BB business unit.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Advanced Technical Business Analysis and technical data skills including data discovery
• Experience in Data Profiling, Data Quality metric development and build including advanced SQL knowledge (mandatory)
• Experience in facilitating and conducting workshops with various business and technical stakeholders to drive outcomes
• Experience in Data Management and Data Transformation (highly desirable)
• Knowledge of Big Data platforms (Hadoop), GitHub, Hive, Spark, Cloud Technologies (preferred)
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy whilst working on competing priorities
• 5+ years’ experience as Technical BA gained in Banking and Finance, especially Business Banking area
• Degree/diploma in Information Technology/Management

• Engage with key business, technical and risk stakeholders using variety of methods including facilitation of workshops to understand their business processes and use of data
• Undertake identification of detailed data flow or lineage from point of data capture to point of data consumptions as it traverses from one system to another
• Perform data analysis and discovery including data profiling to define data quality rules and checkpoints to ensure data passing through the checkpoint is assessed for quality
• Interactively analyse complex data using various data analysis techniques across various sources against business requirements. Ensure attributes of data, relationships between data elements and sources of data are defined and mapped.
• Partner with business stakeholders and utilise technical, subject matter and domain expertise to review Data Quality Issues and impacts to business processes, support in understanding the root cause of the issues, defining remediation plan and making informed recommendations
• Independently manage the work stream and the relationship with stakeholders with escalation to Line Manager as necessary
