Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years’ experience in similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science or other related analytical or technical disciplines, or at least four (4) years related experience.
  • Intermediate data quality and data migration experience including in at least one of: data warehousing, data analysis or conversion for data migration activities.
  • Intermediate SQL query skills with understanding of SQL Table structures and relational databases.
  • Ability to work well with other stakeholders and departments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to tell a story and identify trends.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once.
  • Experience with Talend, SAP DataServices, Informatica, or similar ETL Tool.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • Background in system implementations and consolidations preferred
  • Background in SaaS companies preferred

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Insight and Data team is a recently formed team focusing on analytics, data extraction, transformation, and load, as well as governance and stewardship.
The team is primarily responsible for enabling access to all data within EcoOnline rapidly and consistently to end users as well as ensuring data governance is implemented and data quality is properly monitored and improved over time.
The Insight and Data team is involved in some of our largest systems initiatives, ensuring data is considered often, and as a priority as we continue to scale our business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop data ingestion pipelines for source systems in EcoOnline’s landscape into the data lake hosted within AWS S3.
  • Develop data pipelines and infrastructure using a combination of Talend Data Studio, Stitch Data Replication, and SQL.
  • Develop automation to enable near real time data availability within datasets and data lake (AWS Redshift and AWS S3).
  • Develop datasets from the data lake in AWS Redshift to enable surfacing topical data with light normalization to end users.
  • Follow methodology and best practices to ensure everything developed can be scaled and maintained over time.
  • Reconcile ingested data back to source systems to ensure no data is left behind as well as reconciling between ingested data and datasets to ensure the necessary data is surfaced to end users.
